Super Day

Today I ran my last long run before my half marathon race next Sunday. I couldn’t ask for a better day. The sun was shining and it was 40 degrees. For February in Ohio that is a blessing. My 12 mile run was good. I was pleased with my time and it ended strong with Journey playing Don’t Stop Believin’. My mantra – Believe.

Now the taper week is here. My goals are to not get injured, carbo load, and hydrate. Race day goals will be to run fast and have fun. I can only hope for as much sunshine as I had today.

Tonight my plans – enjoy pizza, watch fun commercials and cheer for the Patriots. I am a Wolverine so I am behind Brady. Enjoy the game and don’t stop believing.

I want to encourage everyone to follow your passions, not just what is easy. It is in overcoming hurdles and barriers that we truly test our limits and abilities. There is much more we are capable of if we only believe in ourselves.
