An Irish Blessed Day

I began my day in Florida with a 3.5 mile walk passing all the cruise ships coming in for their next excursion. Today is an active rest day and what a way to begin St, Patrick’s Day, the road rose up to meet us along the walk. We boarded the ship as the light wind guided our back and the sun shined warmly on our faces. The rain may fall lightly in the fields, I will be at sea and hopefully away from rain!

Any day with sunshine is a blessing, spending St. Patrick’s Day by a pool is even better. I am excited for the adventures that lie ahead. However I want to enjoy the here and now, I will be back in this port a week from now packing up to go home. So I plan to enjoy each moment, take in as much as possible, and not fret about the “what’s next”. Sure there are a few concerns, like “how many calories is in that?” but with my training routine, a few extra here and there will be gone in a week. I am here to enjoy.

So it is my hope that all of you reading have a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day – and may God hold you in the palm of His hand… and this ship too.

I want to encourage everyone to follow your passions, not just what is easy. It is in overcoming hurdles and barriers that we truly test our limits and abilities. There is much more we are capable of if we only believe in ourselves.
